Summary

Average read and I'm finding myself happy that I am almost at the end of the Bridgerton series (only one more to go!)。 There were different elements from previous novels that were reused in this one (elder brother dies, "unique" younger sister), so I had felt that I had read this one previously even though I hadn't。 I still enjoyed the read and liked reading about Hyacinth who had previously taken a backseat in previous novels。 Average read and I'm finding myself happy that I am almost at the end of the Bridgerton series (only one more to go!)。 There were different elements from previous novels that were reused in this one (elder brother dies, "unique" younger sister), so I had felt that I had read this one previously even though I hadn't。 I still enjoyed the read and liked reading about Hyacinth who had previously taken a backseat in previous novels。 。。。more

Hyacinth is an absolute joy in this book, her strong personality and dry humour a perfect match for Lady Danbury and Gareth。 I really enjoyed these two characters, seeing more of Lady Danbury and learning about her past was enjoyable as she’s such an engaging character。It was great to have a romantic male lead who seemed calmer and less likely to fly off the handle。 While he certainly had a temper and could be provoked, he seemed to jump into murderous tendencies just a little bit less than the Hyacinth is an absolute joy in this book, her strong personality and dry humour a perfect match for Lady Danbury and Gareth。 I really enjoyed these two characters, seeing more of Lady Danbury and learning about her past was enjoyable as she’s such an engaging character。It was great to have a romantic male lead who seemed calmer and less likely to fly off the handle。 While he certainly had a temper and could be provoked, he seemed to jump into murderous tendencies just a little bit less than the Bridgertons。The relationship between Hyacinth and Gareth felt sweet and genuine and, true to Hyacinth’s nature, different from the rest of the Bridgerton books。 It was a pleasure to read and watching the two of them grow together and come to support each other was sweet and enjoyable。 。。。more

4。5 🌟really loving this!!! hyacinth is just sooo adorable and quirky that makes her and gareth is soo cute together。 the 2nd epilogue is soo nice too。 it was very heartwarming。 now do i want to see this book to be made on screen?? yes and no for they might can't follow the book the way readers love it。 4。5 🌟really loving this!!! hyacinth is just sooo adorable and quirky that makes her and gareth is soo cute together。 the 2nd epilogue is soo nice too。 it was very heartwarming。 now do i want to see this book to be made on screen?? yes and no for they might can't follow the book the way readers love it。 。。。more

Hyacinth is the most entertaining Bridgerton, and this novel was full of fun, witty dialogue between two intelligent main characters。 I felt like the plot (involving a diary to be translated and the up-in-the-air illegitimacy of the male lead) was a bit thin, maybe to make up for the overbearing nature of the main characters。 But I think maybe Hyacinth deserved a story with a little more meat? Still worth a read。

Another quick read/listen。

Hyacinth has probably become my favourite Bridgerton

Hyacinth meets her match after several years in pursuit of marriage。 Although the romantic inerests and plot twists are always fun to read, the Bridgerton siblings' interactions with their mother have become my favorite parts of these books。 Hyacinth meets her match after several years in pursuit of marriage。 Although the romantic inerests and plot twists are always fun to read, the Bridgerton siblings' interactions with their mother have become my favorite parts of these books。 。。。more

Definitely not my favorite Bridgerton book。 I don’t know if I’m just over this series or what。 I find myself wishing there were only four siblings。 The first four were great but it’s been downhill since in my opinion。 I’m not a quitter though so I shall move on to the next one。

This book is fun。 I love Hyacinth's character and I loved her in the other books in the series as well。 I also love Lady Danbury and the fact we got to know both of them through this book was really entertaining。 I love strong female characters and I really liked that Hyacinth knew what she wanted and went for it。 I felt like this book held the same pace throughout the story and that is sometimes difficult to find。 A great, fun read for the summer! This was definitely one of my favourite Bridgerton books。。。top three for sure! I LOVE Hyacinth。 Her spunky personality and adventurous spirit kept me smiling throughout the book。 This book had a mystery element to it which made it extra exciting to read。 Her romance with Gareth was passionate and fun to follow。。。。once you get past the fact that back in these days men were a bit bossy and jerkish。。。lol。Having Lady Danbury a large part of the book was a great touch。 I love her and I loved the rela This was definitely one of my favourite Bridgerton books。。。top three for sure!

I struggled with connecting to the characters with this one。 The story was different than the others, in that it was almost "quest" centered。 But, I didn't always believe in Gareth's character, and felt distanced from Hyacinth, which would make sense given her primary character flaw is the ability to be vulnerable。 But, I don't think that counts here。。。 Overall fun, just not as good as most of the others。 I struggled with connecting to the characters with this one。 The story was different than the others, in that it was almost "quest" centered。 But, I didn't always believe in Gareth's character, and felt distanced from Hyacinth, which would make sense given her primary character flaw is the ability to be vulnerable。 But, I don't think that counts here。。。 Overall fun, just not as good as most of the others。 。。。more

One to goThe youngest's story before Gregory。 What might his story be, the Bridgeton family is most interesting indeed。 I will have to re-read a couple。 One to goThe youngest's story before Gregory。 What might his story be, the Bridgeton family is most interesting indeed。 I will have to re-read a couple。 。。。more

Totally fine and definitely what I expected from a Bridgerton book。 But Gareth's whole plot to (view spoiler)[ ruin Hyacinth by having sex with her so that she couldn't back out of their engagement (hide spoiler)] was creepy as hell。 Plus a transphobic joke knocks it down a star as well。 I don't give a shit about historical accuracy if it means having transphobic jokes。 Totally fine and definitely what I expected from a Bridgerton book。 But Gareth's whole plot to (view spoiler)[ ruin Hyacinth by having sex with her so that she couldn't back out of their engagement (hide spoiler)] was creepy as hell。 Plus a transphobic joke knocks it down a star as well。 I don't give a shit about historical accuracy if it means having transphobic jokes。 。。。more
